“We liked being in a small group in a van after touring in a large coach for several days. Our guide was very nice and knowledgable. He stopped the van so we could get pictures of the gorgeous Swiss countryside. Unfortunately Monday was a holiday so we were unable to visit the chocolate store however we did enjoy the cheese tasting. The clouds closed in while we were on the mountain but we still enjoyed the limited views from the top. Appenzel is a very picturesque Swiss village.”

The Chocolate Factory visit a little disappointing but the samples were plentiful and fun! It was a lovely day and scenery stunning! Wish a bit more of the day would have been closer to the lake rather than heavily congested freeways but I realize that would extend timing. Overall a delightful way to spend the day and highly recommend.”

We visited the Kambly Biscuit factory in Trubschachen, where we watched an interesting video about the origins and history of the Kambly family business. “Met by our guide at the exact time and location and he was very nice and friendly and informative, took us round to three different chocolate shops/ makers and we were given several different samples of each one, all of which were very nice. We were given a history of the manufacturer and it was also very interesting. The taxi bike ride was fun and the driver also took to some places of interest which was nice. Not the cheapest experience ( nothing is in Geneva) but it made my wife happy on her birthday so it’s all good.”
